There are certain, little things about your kids that only you notice

The way they stand or the way they walk or the way they grin at their siblings with a big gap in their teeth

Those are the things you’ll want to remember years from now: the things that make them, them. The things you can’t get from asking them to smile and say cheese.

Posed photos are nice to send to the grandparents (and we’ll totally take some, I promise), but your kids’ personalities, mannerisms, and quirks are what you’ll want to make sure you’ve got captured in the long run.

The time goes fast. Tomorrow, they’ll be a different kid.

“Ashlee is so personable, professional, patient, and kind. We always have so many laughs when we work with her and our kids adore her! She always manages to capture the perfect picture in the midst of chaos!”

-Katelyn

Getting the holiday card checked off your list is a win

But having candid photos of your kids interacting with each other is a bigger win

You don’t want to look at your photos and remember how unhappy everyone was to be there (so let’s skip the meltdown-inducing posing). You want to look at your photos and remember the love, the joy, and the laughter.

Ashlee, Founder

I have years of family photography experience.

The number one lesson I’ve learned along the way? Patience

It’s okay if your kids need to take a break. It’s okay if some big feelings are taking priority over smiling and following instructions. Basically, it’s okay for your kids to be kids. Before I became a family photographer, I was a teacher. I’ll talk to your kids like they’re people and meet them where they’re at. I’m also absolutely willing and able to break out a poop joke when necessary.

When your kids are comfortable and happy, your photos turn out so much better.

Ashlee has helped our family create so many beautiful moments. She’s such a joy to work with. I cannot recommend Ashlee highly enough.”

When you step in front of my lens, your job is not to smile at the camera

It’s to be real with one another

That might mean giving your kiddo a hug. Or making eye contact with your partner while your toddlers run around your feet. Or picking your babies up and pulling them in close. If you don’t hear me giving you instructions, it’s because the way you’re interacting with one another is more perfect than any pose I could put you in.

We will spend the first 20 minutes of your session making sure we get those “eyes open, smiles on” photos taken care of, but after that, it’s all about having fun and feeling love.

You’ll tell me a little bit about your family in a questionnaire. Getting to know your family better helps me capture what’s most important to you.

We’ll have a pre-photoshoot call to figure out all the logistics together. We’re a team. I can help you plan outfits, timing, and answer any questions you have.

Shoot

The day of our session, your job is to relax and enjoy some quality time with your family. I’ll handle all of the directing, timing, and other logistics. You can just love on your babies.

3-5 weeks later, you’ll get your photos back. You’ll get to see all of that love and joy that’s easy to miss in the day-to-day of parenthood, front and center. You can return to these photos as often as you want to, for years to come.

Tomorrow your babies will be bigger

Hold onto the toddler chaos, the chubby little hands, and the sweet hugs.

Let's capture who they are today!
